What Britvic are doing to support outlets during COVID-19

These are extraordinary times and certainly the most challenging in the history of the hospitality industry. Never has it been more important that we come together, share our challenges and come up with workable solutions for the benefit of all. We want to stand with you, arming you with a one-stop resource of all the possible information and advice you could need to get through this time.

We have used our Sensational Drinks platform to create a hub of all the material you could need in the coming weeks/months, from vital technical support to protect your kit, to external resources that will offer you financial advice and access to free resources, including training for you and your team.

Additionally, I want to reassure you that we’re currently working on recovery plans, focusing on prioritising our investment to be ready to support you when your businesses re-open. We are working with key partners to build these support plans and will use our portfolio to help you recover sales.

As we progress through uncertain times, we will ensure we update our hub to keep you informed and supported wherever possible.

For our consumers, we have developed Craft O'Clock – offering a new video every weekday on our Robinsons Facebook page to support creativity at home for families

We have also been proud to do our Britvic bit and support our communities and our NHS and have installed 20 chillers and supplied more than 38,000 soft drinks so far for healthcare workers at NHS Nightingale London, the new temporary hospital built at the ExCeL centre in east London. We have also provided the NHS with warehousing facilities in Norwich to store beds and put together food packages.

We continue to deliver products to local foodbanks, hospices and hospitals, and we are diverting stock allocated for summer sampling to our front-line employees.

We are also committed to providing products for Age UK’s food and drink parcels for the elderly and vulnerable.

We have joined hundreds of business across the UK in signing up to the C-19 pledge to do what we can to be a force for good during these uncertain times.

What is London Essence doing?

The London Essence Company has launched a new campaign to support the on-trade in the face of these unprecedented times. The campaign calls on consumers to support the bar-tending community through its Cheers to You campaign, encouraging consumers to donate to The Drinks Trust.

The luxury mixer brand is kicking off the campaign with a £10,000 pledge and is contributing 10% of its Whisky Exchange sales until the end of lockdown.

London Essence is also working to elevate consumer drinking experiences at home through a content series of pro insider tips and tricks. From making the most out of items found in the cupboard to serving drinks in style, the tips will be live on Instagram and Facebook for consumers and industry-professionals alike.
